shr kzmy I simply adore the rip-roaring sound of your guitar. Nice 'shit sandwich' you've got there. Favorite track: Make A Fist.

Lying here, I know my time has come to an end, My only companions are the machines, huddled round my bed like sad expectant friends, Quietly marking time with their soft beeps and clockwork clicks, The mechanical rhythm of a life running out... Each sound carries the weight of finality within the deadened confines of my curtained cocoon, A nurse coughs, somewhere out there, Voices murmur; footsteps echo; a distant door squeaks in protest then rattles shut, Everyday sounds, so close but so far away now. I feel the life ebb from my tired bones, Unresisting, the warm current carries me towards the edge of the world, Away from everything and everyone I've ever known. I prepare to drift into the unknown Oblivion beyond, Returning to the stardust from whence I came, Ashes to ashes, stardust to stardust. I close my eyes for the very last time and dream of you, I swear I can feel you there, Your breath on my lips, Your life on my lips, I pray for one last kiss, To send me on my way.

about

SUMMER NOW in ten words:
Simple, riff driven songs laden with layered guitars and hooks.

The second SUMMER NOW album ‘From Something, To Everything, To Nothing’ has had no expense spared in a bid to push creativity and musical boundaries to their absolute limits.

Close to £30 was spent on an entry-level Midi keyboard to allow Peter to play one-fingered synth parts; During the unnecessarily lengthy recording process, Peter also discovered that, by using three fingers, he could tap into an arsenal of at least four new guitar chords; In addition, proper musicians were also drafted in to play some parts properly - parts that were far beyond Peter’s mediocre ability. Artwork was painstakingly created over the course of several minutes.

The end result?

An album that is – arguably - a little bit better than the last one. Job done.

'From Something, To Everything, To Nothing' is an album that reflects deeply on deep reflections; The opposites and polar extremes we experience in everyday life. Love and loss; Joy and sadness; Light and dark; Fire and ice; Milk chocolate and dark chocolate; Heaven and Hell; Dio and Ozzy... It is an album that is both intensely deep and pathetically shallow, an incredible juxtaposition of soaring triumph and utter failure. A veritable 'shit sandwich', if you will.

In SUMMER NOW, Peter Fellowes has invented a completely new genre; a genre he has dubbed ‘Punkstrumental’ (Trademark pending) – the short, sharp, snappy sensibilities of Punk-rock blended with the dynamics, drama and atmospherics of Post-rock. Tempered with a genuine lack of skill and musical knowledge, Peter pushes his brand of formulaic rock to it's very boundaries - how far can he take the three chords and pentatonic scale he knows before people figure out his breath-taking ineptitude? Only time will tell. Or, possibly, one more album.

However, as the only living artist in existence in this niche field, he is inevitably at the top of his game.

With determination, guts and a grin, Peter plans to grow his current fanbase far beyond twelve people, bettering Jesus Christ in terms of follower numbers.
